Johnny Manziel and the 15th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies shocked the college football world with a 29-24 upset of the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. The Aggies put up 20 points in the first quarter to take an early advantage on Alabama. Manziel's play was brilliant throwing 24 of 31 for 253 yards, 2 touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also ran 18 times and weathered four sacks. The Aggies, after losing by a combined eight points to both LSU and Florida, went into Tuscaloosa with something to prove. They wanted to let it be known that they were capable of competing in the SEC and they did just that. "We played with a chip on our shoulder," said Aggie wide receiver, Ryan Swopes who had 11 receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown. Texas A&M was presumed to be out manned and over matched with it's move from the Big 12 to the SEC but this clearly isn't the case. With Saturday's upset at Alabama, Johhny "Football" Manziel and Texas A&M are 6 and 0 on the road this season. In those six games, Manziel has thrown for over 280 yards a game, rushed for over 120 a contest, and accounted for23 touchdowns (12 TD passes and 11 rushing TD's.) Manziel has become the 2nd freshman in FBS history with 2,000 pass yards and 1,000 rush yards in the same season. He's the 12th player in FBS history (in any class) to go 2,000-1,000 in the same season. The win in Tuscaloosa was about as big as it gets and it was clearly the proof that the Aggies not only belong in the South Eastern Conference but that they will be making some noise in it! First Scrimmage Played
The Texas A&M Aggies played their first of three scrimmages on Saturday the 14th of April and most fans were focused on the quarterback position. Everyone wants to know who the Aggie starting quarterback will be. Johnny Manziel opened the scrimmage with the first team and finished the day 17-30 for 161 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He began the day 3 of 14 but finished it by completing 13 of his last 17 passes. Jameill Showers was 12 of 17 passing for 151 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Matt Joeckel was 6-10 for 93 yards and two touchdowns and Matt Davis threw one pass and it was incomplete. The prevailing outcome of last Saturday's scrimmage was although Showers looked a little more polished Manziel's athleticism makes him a more dynamic quarterback prospect. Of course it will be up to coach Kevin Sumlin to decide who the starting quarterback will be but if his past experience shows us anything then I know he will pick someone who suits the team. The coaching staff has a huge task in preparing this team for their inaugural season in the SEC but from the looks of this scrimmage they have already started some productive work. This is going to be a great year for the Aggies and I can't wait to see them live and in person. I always buy my tickets early from BigWillTickets.com. Spring is in the Air!
The Texas A&M Aggies have a lot of work to do to this year but things are looking positive. Not only do the Aggies have a new head coach in Kevin Sumlin but they are also returning seventeen starters. However, this is at a time when the Aggies are entering into one of the most difficult conferences in college football. The Aggies are losing their starting quarterback but I think they have the talent to again be one of the most explosive offenses in college football. It's just a matter of players such as Nate Askew or Brandal Jackson stepping up their game and giving the new quarterback, Jameil Showers, more weapons. They only need play up to their potential. The running game will struggle against the SEC defenses but with the leadership of senior running back Christine Michael the Aggies stand a chance. It will no doubt be a struggle for the Aggies but they are certainly capable of making a fight for the top. Coach Sumlin is a great motivator and it will be up to him to lead his team through this transitional period. If there is any team that will succeed in the SEC it is Texas A&M. They are just as physical as the other SEC teams and they certainly have the talent to compete with the best of the SEC. It is now time for the Aggies to put their money where their mouth is and to win some football games. I can't wait for the spring game at the end of March and I definitely can't wait for the real season to began. I always but my Aggie tickets early from BigWillTickets.com. Not only do they have a large selection of tickets but they also have fantastic prices. Spring can't come soon enough. Gig em Aggies!

Ticket Prices on the Rise!
If you are interested in seeing the Aggies in their inaugural run in the SEC then you are going to have to pay for it. Texas A&M has announced their season ticket prices and they have gone up! The cheapest season ticket for non students is $450.00. With a required $150.00 donation that brings the price to $600.00. Now that may seem like a lot to some people and it is a lot but with A&M's entry to SEC we knew the prices were going to rise. I am a firm believer in supply and demand and it seems to me that these tickets will be in high demand. With A&M playing teams such as the Florida, LSU, Arkansas, and Missouri at Kyle field there is no doubt that you will get your money's worth of action. When you break it down, $100.00 per game ( A&M also plays South Carolina State and Sam Houston State at home) isn't such a bad deal. After all A&M will only play all of those schools in the SEC for the first time only once. I don't know about you but I am willing to pay the price to be a part of the Aggie Nation. I always get my tickets from BigWillTickets.com. They have a huge selection of tickets and fantastic prices! Gig'em Aggies!

Wallerstedt Named Linebackers Coach
Matt Wallerstedt, former defensive coach at the Air Force Academy, has been named the new Aggie linebackers coach. Wallerstedt served as the associate head coach, defensive coordinator, and inside linebackers coach at Air Force the past two seasons. He began his coaching career in 1988 as a student assistant at Kansas State and served two years as a graduate assistant at Arizona State. He worked at both Fort Hayes State and Emporia State before landing at the University of Wyoming for six seasons. He then moved on to North Alabama and Akron before returning to Kansas State. Wallerstedt added special teams to his responsibilities in 2007 before moving to Colorado Springs and the Air Force Academy in 2008. Wallerstedt is a great addition to the new coaching staff at Texas A&M. We welcome him with open arms and can't wait to see him put his talent to work. Be sure to get your Aggie tickets today by shopping BigWillTickets.com for the greatest prices and seats available! Gig'em Aggies!

Change is Coming to College Station!
Things are changing quickly in College Station. Not only have the Aggies joined the SEC and are in the midst of building one of the most up to date football players development centers in the country but the Aggies have already changed their football schedule for the 2012 season. Originally the Aggies were to open the season at home with McNeese State but instead will now be heading to Shreveport to take on Louisiana Tech in Independence Stadium. The Aggies have also added South Carolina Sate to the schedule in another non-conference game. Although the Aggies will be facing one of their toughest schedules in quite some time they are looking forward to the challenge and changes. Currently A&M has only four home games on it's schedule. Another change to the Aggie team is the addition of Marcel Yates, a former Boise State defensive backs coach. Yates will serve as co-defensive coordinator and will oversee the defensive secondary for Texas A&M. Although the road may be a long one with the changes in College Station, the Aggies are looking forward to the trip. I am preparing early and getting my tickets from www.BigWilltickets.com before it's too late! Gig'em Aggies! Show the SEC who's in town!

Gig'em Aggies in 2012
Things are looking tough for the Aggies in 2012 but I believe they have the ability to succeed. The SEC is all about defense and the Aggies aren't quite yet on that page. However, they now have an offensive-minded head coach in Kevin Sumlin and you can believe A&M will have a formidable attack on both the ground and in the air. With the 5th hardest schedule of the 14 SEC teams the Aggies will be looking to outscore opponents rather than shutting down their offenses. With a young quarterback protected by a veteran offensive line, Sumlin will have the opportunity to use his offensive weapons all season long. Texas A&M has the ability to be one of the most exciting offenses in the SEC and will most likely be more dangerous than most people give them credit for. The SEC West better look out because the Aggies have arrived and they are ready some action! Gig'em Aggies!
