First Scrimmage Played

The Texas A&M Aggies played their first of three scrimmages on Saturday the 14th of April and most fans were focused on the quarterback position. Everyone wants to know who the Aggie starting quarterback will be. Johnny Manziel opened the scrimmage with the first team and finished the day 17-30 for 161 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He began the day 3 of 14 but finished it by completing 13 of his last 17 passes. Jameill Showers was 12 of 17 passing for 151 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Matt Joeckel was 6-10 for 93 yards and two touchdowns and Matt Davis threw one pass and it was incomplete. The prevailing outcome of last Saturday's scrimmage was although Showers looked a little more polished Manziel's athleticism makes him a more dynamic quarterback prospect. Of course it will be up to coach Kevin Sumlin to decide who the starting quarterback will be but if his past experience shows us anything then I know he will pick someone who suits the team. The coaching staff has a huge task in preparing this team for their inaugural season in the SEC but from the looks of this scrimmage they have already started some productive work. This is going to be a great year for the Aggies and I can't wait to see them live and in person. I always buy my tickets early from BigWillTickets.com. They have the greatest selection of seats and fantastic prices. Be a part of the 12th man. Giggem' Aggies!
