A&M Shocks Alabama in Tuscaloosa!

Johnny Manziel and the 15th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies shocked the college football world with a 29-24 upset of the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. The Aggies put up 20 points in the first quarter to take an early advantage on Alabama. Manziel's play was brilliant throwing 24 of 31 for 253 yards, 2 touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also ran 18 times and weathered four sacks. The Aggies, after losing by a combined eight points to both LSU and Florida, went into Tuscaloosa with something to prove. They wanted to let it be known that they were capable of competing in the SEC and they did just that. "We played with a chip on our shoulder," said Aggie wide receiver, Ryan Swopes who had 11 receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown. Texas A&M was presumed to be out manned and over matched with it's move from the Big 12 to the SEC but this clearly isn't the case. With Saturday's upset at Alabama, Johhny "Football" Manziel and Texas A&M are 6 and 0 on the road this season. In those six games, Manziel has thrown for over 280 yards a game, rushed for over 120 a contest, and accounted for23 touchdowns (12 TD passes and 11 rushing TD's.) Manziel has become the 2nd freshman in FBS history with 2,000 pass yards and 1,000 rush yards in the same season. He's the 12th player in FBS history (in any class) to go 2,000-1,000 in the same season. The win in Tuscaloosa was about as big as it gets and it was clearly the proof that the Aggies not only belong in the South Eastern Conference but that they will be making some noise in it!
