Wallerstedt Named Linebackers Coach

Matt Wallerstedt, former defensive coach at the Air Force Academy, has been named the new Aggie linebackers coach. Wallerstedt served as the associate head coach, defensive coordinator, and inside linebackers coach at Air Force the past two seasons. He began his coaching career in 1988 as a student assistant at Kansas State and served two years as a graduate assistant at Arizona State. He worked at both Fort Hayes State and Emporia State before landing at the University of Wyoming for six seasons. He then moved on to North Alabama and Akron before returning to Kansas State. Wallerstedt  added special teams to his responsibilities in 2007 before moving to Colorado Springs and the Air Force Academy in 2008. Wallerstedt is a great addition to the new coaching staff at Texas A&M. We welcome him with open arms and can't wait to see him put his talent to work.
